People First Stadium was proud to support the Gold Coat Connect 2 Home event, which brought together government, community organisations, service providers and businesses to support people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
While People First Stadium is best known for hosting major sporting and entertainment events, Connect 2 Home demonstrates the broader role the venue can play as a community asset by opening our doors to bring people and organisations together for an important purpose.
An initiative of the Gold Coast Homelessness Networks part of National Homelessness Week, the event provided an accessible environment where members of the community can connect directly with a range of services, support and resources in one location.
People First Stadium Venue General Manger Ryan Davey said the venue was proud to genuinely connect with the Gold Coast community that they serve.
“People First Stadium is known for hosting some of the Gold Coast’s biggest sporting and entertainment events, but days like Connect 2 Home are always a highlight on our annual events calendar,” Mr Davey said.
“Connect 2 Home is a great example of what can be achieved when government, community organisations and businesses come together around a common purpose to help members of our community connect with the services, support and opportunities they need.”
