The People First Stadium team have welcomed a record crowd for the Gold Coast SUNS as part of Queensland Day’s Mega Round of Sport.
21,139 fans were in attendance to witness the 2026 QClash, with the Gold Coast SUNS taking on the Brisbane Lions on the Gold Coast for the highly anticipated AFL match.
People First Stadium A/Venue General Manager Ryan Davey said it was great to see fans out in force to support their teams while celebrating all that’s great about Queensland.
“We’re thrilled to have welcomed more than 21 thousand fans for the Gold Coast SUNS v Brisbane Lions match over the weekend, showcasing two of the best teams in the competition and providing an incredible experience for the Gold Coast community,” Mr Davey said.
The Brisbane Lions defeated the Gold Coast SUNS, 106 - 75.
